Cookie Policy

The cookies this website sets, what each one does, how we ask before using Google Analytics, and why none of them are used for advertising.

Last updated 1 September 2026

1The short version

This site uses cookies that are strictly necessary to make it work — signing you in, remembering your basket, and remembering the currency you chose. We also use Google Analytics to see which pieces people look at. In the UK and Europe we ask before loading it and nothing happens unless you say yes; elsewhere it loads by default, and you can turn it off on this page at any time. We set no advertising cookies and do not track you across other websites.

2What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can recognise you between pages — for example to keep you signed in as you move around, rather than asking for your password on every click.

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, a website must ask your permission before setting cookies, unless they are strictly necessary for a service you have asked for. All of ours fall into that category.

3The cookies we set

CookiePurposeHow long it lasts
AuthenticationKeeps you signed in to your account and secures your session. Set only if you have an account and sign inUntil you sign out, or the session expires
display_currencyRemembers the currency you chose in the header, so prices stay in it as you browseUntil you clear it or change currency
Your bagRemembers the pieces you have added, so your bag survives closing the tabUntil you empty it or complete an order
bibi_gate_v2Used only while the site is behind a preview password before launch. Records that the password was entered correctly30 days
bibi_analytics_consentRecords whether you agreed to Google Analytics, so we do not ask again on every page. Set whichever way you answer — this one is how we remember a refusal too6 months
_ga, _ga_*Google Analytics. Counts visits and which pages are viewed. Set ONLY after you accept; never set if you decline or have not answeredUp to 2 years

When you pay, Stripe sets its own cookies within its payment form to process the transaction securely and to detect fraud. These are necessary for the payment to work. Stripe's cookie notice is on their website.

4Analytics, and how we ask

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pieces and pages people look at, so we can buy better and make the site easier to use. It tells us things like how many people viewed a lehenga and which pages they left from. It does not tell us who you are.

If you are in the UK, the EEA or Switzerland, we ask first. Until you accept, the Google Analytics script is not loaded at all — not loaded and restricted, not loaded. No request is made to Google, no cookie is set, and no identifier is created. If you decline, that stays true, and we remember your choice for six months so you are not asked on every visit.

Elsewhere in the world we do not show the banner, because the law where you are does not require us to ask, and analytics loads when the page does. We would rather say that plainly than imply we ask everyone. Wherever you are, you can turn it off using the button at the bottom of this page, and we will honour that — a refusal made in New York is as binding on us as one made in London.

If we cannot tell where you are, we ask. We would rather show a banner to somebody who did not need one than set a cookie on somebody who did.

We have turned off Google's advertising features on this property: no remarketing audiences, no ad personalisation, and no sharing of your browsing with advertisers. Google Analytics 4 does not record full IP addresses.

5What we still do not do

We do not run advertising or remarketing pixels, we do not share browsing behaviour with social networks or advertisers, and we do not track you across other websites.

6Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies through your browser's settings. Because ours are the ones that make the site function, blocking them will stop you signing in, keeping a bag, or completing an order.

Change your cookie choice

This clears your answer and asks again on the next page you visit.
